On Tuesday, September 12, Metro Richmond Area Young Democrats will hold a special election for the position of Secretary to serve the remaining executive board term, ending in January 2018.
The Secretary position recently became vacant, and per our constitution we must hold a special election at our next scheduled meeting.
The Secretary keeps minutes at formal MRAYD meetings and executive board meetings and maintains MRAYD’s membership list and calendar of activities. The Secretary also takes the lead on communications for the chapter, including website, email and social media. The Secretary is a voting member of MRAYD’s executive board which meets monthly on first Tuesdays.
Any MRAYD member is eligible to run for the position of Secretary.
